One trophy. Thirty-three days on the road. Twenty-two stops in five countries. Thousands of excited fans. A hugely sucessful road-show event series has come to an end. The UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour presented by UniCredit had Munich, Prague, Warsaw, Bratislava and Vienna under its spell over the past weeks.
It was every fan’s once-in-a-lifetime chance to get really close to the icon of European club football, and to get an idea of what it must feel like to lift the trophy. With the closing event in Vienna on 17 October, the shiny object of desire has left the public stage again. Europe’s football lovers will now have to wait until 28 May for its re-appearance – at the UEFA Champions League Final in London’s legendary Wembley stadium! It remains to be seen which two teams will make it into that decisive match and which one will take home the trophy to their fans in their city. So, it’s all up to Europe’s top clubs now to decide which city gets to celebrate the trophy in May.
For a glance at how fans in the five Trophy Tour host countries welcomed it, visit our photo/video gallery, and our YouTube channel. We will be uploading more tour material in the upcoming days.
Thanks to all of you who came to see the trophy. We hope you had a fantastic time!

See it shining in the back?… After stop-overs in Wroclaw, Kraków and Poznán, the Trophy had Warsaw under its spell for an entire weekend. At the press conference, which could be followed as a live stream on our Facebook fan page, Luís Figo made very clear that UEFA Champions League fans will have only two more chances to get really close to the Trophy (and himself). One in Bratislava and one in Vienna. Fortunately, there will be additional stop-overs on the way to these main-events. Find out when and where by checking our tour schedule.
Here, Luís Figo is sitting next to Josef Mlynarczyk, Polish goalie for FC Porto during their trophy victory in 1987, and Alicja Kornasiewicz of Bank Pekao.
