Together with 200 children from the towns of Backa Palanka and Odzaci, Dejana Backo had a lot of joy and fun at the Open Fun Football Schools (OFFS) from 22 – 26 August. Dejana is a 15 year old girl born without upper extremities but with an incredible talent: with her left foot she does amazing paintings – so skilful that today she is studying at the secondary school of art in Novi Sad and represents Serbia in the world association of artists with disabilities.
First time the OFFS met Dejana was on television when Dejana told the journalist about her biggest desire: to get the chance of playing football with her peers.
At the OFFS Dejana’s dedication and irresistible smile made it easy for her to become part of the game. It was fantastic to see how the children without disabilities changed their attitudes towards Dejana during the five days. The first day you could see some children discretely looking at Dejana and her handicap. At the end she was accepted as one like all the others.

Thank you St. Petersburg! You gave us a tremendous start of this year’s Trophy Tour. 26,700 visitors came to our tent on Palace Square.
For the first in the history of the tour, open hours of the tent were extended on both Saturday and Sunday to allow the fans who had been waiting over 4 hours in rain or sunshine to enter the exhibition. Main attractions were the international football stars: Luís Figo, our Official UniCredit Ambassador for the UEFA Champions League, who was accompanied by Cafu and local hero Dmitri Alenichev. Ultimate highlight however was the UEFA Champions League Trophy: 7,494 photos were made! So all the visitors can go to the microsite, download their photo and have a keepsake of the event.
